Maria Angela, Moka & Camillo
“I started running the family business almost twenty years ago, when I fell in love with this house. With recklessness, I changed my life and rediscovered a dimension that city life too often forces us to forget.
I have learned and continue to learn from nature and about nature, sometimes with effort and sometimes with renewed surprise. I became especially passionate about oil production and became an official oil taster. I love talking about this product and telling people about its characteristics, I produce it conscientiously and with passion.
I am kept company by two dogs, Moka and Camillo, who act as bells when someone arrives. There are also two cats: Romeo and Gatto (aka Ugo.. or Asdrubale).
I like to make my guests feel at home. To help them get to know these areas and these traditions…if they want… “accompany them” on their holiday.”
The organic farm I Moricci offers hospitality in the 1846 Leopold-style farmhouse that is the heart of the farm.
The building, built on the ridge of a hill overlooking the Era River valley, just a few kilometres from the village of Fabbrica, an ancient Pisan fortress, still retains its great charm and conveys with its solidity a feeling of peace and “wisdom”.
In the restoration and ‘construction’, over the years, of the garden, we have sought precisely to maintain and enhance this atmosphere. We want our guests to be able to truly disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, to slow down, relax, enjoy the greenery, the scents of nature.
However, our location is also perfect for those who want to experience the history and traditions of Tuscany. Central to the region’s major cities of art and culture, surrounded by small villages that still retain their beauty and authenticity and by many small businesses that passionately produce traditional products.
