The Vespa: one myth born here.
The legendary Piaggio Vespa, the most famous scooter in the world, was born in Valdera, in Pontedera.
These hills, on which soft roads wind, surrounded by spectacular landscapes can give you an unforgettable experience when ridden on a Vespa.
Don’t miss the small museum in the old Piaggio plant in Pontedera dedicated to the Vespa: from its conception to the present day.
There are many routes that you can take on foot, starting directly from I Moricci or going a few kilometers away. Walks of varying lengths and difficulty through soft hills and woods
The entire Peccioli area, full of descents and ascents, on white roads among woods, vineyards and olive groves, offers indescribable views and moments of great contemplation.
To enjoy all this, I Moricci together with its partners, proposes 5 extraordinary routes, different in difficulty, to be completed by e-bike, combined with stops with aperitifs and tastings of typical products at local farms.
Lajatico: the Andrea Bocelli’s village.
Just a few kilometers far from our farm is the small town of Lajatico, where singer Andrea Bocelli was born.
Every year in July, the tenor performs in concert at the Teatro Naturale Del Silenzio, a magical place nestled in the green hills surrounding it.
If you cannot attend the concert, a visit to the theater (where you can have a glass of wine while losing yourself in the surrounding landscape) and to the village, which on summer evenings is transformed into a charming open-air living room, remains an experience not to be missed.
